Tork Craft TCT Blade Steel Cutting 185 × 68T – 20/16 mm Bore

Compact yet heavy-duty steel cutting blade: 185 mm diameter, 68 carbide teeth, 20/16 mm bore for workshop and site use

The Tork Craft TCT Blade Steel Cutting 185 × 68T is engineered for efficient and clean cutting of all types of steel and ferrous metals. With a compact 185 mm diameter and high tooth count (68T), this blade offers fine finishes and precise cuts in sheet, plate and structural steel. The 20/16 mm bore gives compatibility with both 20 mm and 16 mm arbors for flexible machine fit-up.

Featuring a tempered blade body for stability under load and deep chip-evacuation gutters to reduce clogging, this blade is built for durability in metal-cutting environments. It is ideal for fabrication shops, maintenance departments and tradespeople working with ferrous materials like steel, stainless or thick gauge plate.

What does “TCT” mean?

TCT stands for Tungsten Carbide Tipped: the teeth of the blade are tipped with tungsten-carbide alloy, giving much greater durability and heat resistance than plain steel blades when cutting tough materials like steel. This means longer life and fewer blade changes.

Features

  • 185 mm diameter × 68 carbide teeth High tooth-density for smooth cuts and minimal burring in steel.
  • 20/16 mm bore size Dual-bore fit for either 20 mm or 16 mm arbors, increasing machine compatibility.
  • Tempered body & deep gutters Stabilised blade body to reduce vibration, with chip-clearance features to maintain cut quality.
  • Reinforced shoulders Additional support around each carbide tip to reduce tooth breakage under load.

Benefits

  • Reliable steel cutting: Built specifically to handle ferrous metals and heavy usage.
  • Reduced downtime: Durable carbide teeth mean you change blades less often and keep production moving.
  • Fine finish: The high-tooth count gives cleaner cuts and less post-cut grinding or deburring.
  • Flexible machine fit: The 20/16 mm bore ensures compatibility across a range of machine setups.

Extra Information

  • Ensure your saw is set up properly for metal cutting: use correct RPM, secure clamping and appropriate feed rate to maximise blade life.
  • Keep chips cleared during cutting: the deep gutters help, but removing accumulations manually or using vacuum helps extend tooth life.
  • Inspect blade before each use: look for missing teeth or damage to carbide tips which can affect performance and safety.

Pro Tip

  • Mark the blade’s “first use” date and track usage hours. When you notice reduced cut speed or increased burrs, rotate the blade and inspect carbide tips—often a small maintenance step prevents costly tool or material damage.

Safety

  • Wear eye, ear and hand protection when operating. Cutting steel can throw hot chips or fragments.
  • Ensure the saw’s guard is fitted and functioning correctly before installing the blade. Make sure the arbor size (16 mm or 20 mm) matches the blade bore and that arbor flange is tight.
  • Do not exceed the recommended RPM of the blade; maintain feed rate and avoid forcing the blade through material—this reduces life and risks damage.
  • Inspect for chipped or missing teeth before each use; do not use a blade that has damage as it increases risk of tool kick-back or cut inaccuracy.
